These seal tight and are the only containers my husband will use to take lunch into work. He knows they will not spill/leak in his workbag. They work great in the freezer, and stack well. I have had the tabs break off some of the littler containers when they fell and hit the ground. The HUGE flaw in my opinion is that for storage these do not stack and take up loads of room in the cabinets! If only they had slightly tapered them.

I’m a fan of these boxes due to ease of use and quality. They are recycle code 5 (one of the safe ones) and very sturdy. They fit well in the dishwasher, where some others are awkward and take up too much room, plus retain water in the lip grooves instead of drying completely.

This size holds a good-sized sandwich for lunch since it’s deeper than other square boxes. I like transferring things from those grocery clamshell boxes that are hard to open and won’t re-close properly. I never have to worry about spewing blueberries all over the kitchen floor now that I store them in these boxes. Mushrooms that don’t store well once the cellophane is broken off the store pack, do well in these boxes. If you buy bulk grain or nuts from the bins in the health food store, transferring to these containers immediately ensures that no pantry moths get to the contents (or get into your house if some were lurking in the bin in the store).

While the boxes don’t nest in the cupboard when empty, they do stack securely with the tops on in the cupboard, fridge or freezer. When empty the right cover is always right there, and when full I’m maximizing my space. I think these boxes are great and recommend them.
